This was never just about starting a company. It was about filling a gap I saw over and over again—in homes, in hallways, and in the hearts of families who were trying their best to care for their loved ones with very little support.
I’ve worked in this field. I’ve stepped into quiet moments others overlooked—offering loving care when all someone needed was to feel clean, seen, and human again. I’ve seen caregivers overworked and unappreciated, clients overlooked, and seniors treated like numbers instead of people. And every time I left a home or walked out of a room where someone thanked me just for showing up, I knew something had to change.
That “something” became Hearts of Gold In-Home Care.
I built this agency not just to offer care—but to offer compassion, consistency, and comfort in a way that honors both the client and the caregiver. I wanted families to know they weren’t alone. I wanted caregivers to feel respected. I wanted the seniors—especially the ones falling through the cracks—to know someone was still thinking of them.
I’ve seen them worn down not just by age, but by how invisible they feel. That kind of quiet struggle stayed with me. It still does. Because care shouldn’t start with a referral. It should start with awareness.
I place a special emphasis on helping those who have needed care they couldn’t receive—whether due to finances, waitlists, or being told they "didn’t qualify." I’ve seen firsthand how deeply that kind of neglect impacts people. It’s not just physical—it’s emotional. It makes people feel forgotten. That’s something I refuse to let happen.
